Winx Over the course of five years, the Australian mare Winx has rewritten racing history. The 2011 Thoroughbred (Street Cry x Vegas Showgirl) had an incredible 37 career wins, bound with the legendary Phar Lap. Owned by Magic Bloodstock, Richard Treweeke & Debbie Kepitis, and trained by Chris Waller, their series of consecutive victories began on May 16, 2015. Jockey Hugh Bowman was Winx's regular driver who piloted her in every race since 2015 of the Epsom Handicap and up to 32 of their wins. In April 2019, Winx entered the launch goals at the Queen Elizabeth Stakes for their last race before retirement. True to shape, Winx drew off her 33rd consecutive victory - one length one half ahead of the second-placed finisher! She joined a true champion, complete with a place in Australia's Racing Hall of Fame, a world record of 25 Group One wins, and as the highest earned thoroughbred with over $26.4 million ($19.7 million) in the profits.
