1:  AISI H21  steel introduction

6: Heat Treatment
Annealing
     Heat to 885C, later cool in heat treatment at not quite 4C per hour. After annealing Hardness 235 HBS Max.
Hardening and Quenching 
     Quenching | salt bath furnace: 1177 / ºC
     Quenching | controlled atmosphere furnace: 1191 / ºC
     Heat preservation time: 5 ~ 15 mins
     Quenching medium: air cooling
Tempering 
     Tempering temperature / ºC : 552
     After tempering hardness HRC or higher: 52

     For hot rolled plate, usually the delivery condition is hot rolled, annealed, black surface.
