Product Description
Copper rods are more widely used than pure iron. Every year, 50% of copper is purified by electrolysis into pure copper for use in the power industry. Copper does need to be very pure, with more than 99.95% copper. Very small amounts of impurities, especially phosphorus and aluminum, can greatly reduce the conductivity of copper.

This kind of high-purity pure copper is generally refined by electrolysis: impure copper (ie blister copper) is used as the anode, pure copper is used as the cathode, and copper sulfate solution is used as the electrolyte. When the current passes, the impurity copper on the anode is gradually melted, and the pure copper on the cathode is gradually precipitated. The purity of refined copper can reach 99.99%.

Ordinary red copper is a kind of pure copper, which can be approximated as pure copper. It has good electrical conductivity and plasticity, but poor strength and hardness. Due to its good electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance and processing properties, it can be used for welding and fiber welding. Many people use it to manufacture products with excellent electrical conductivity, such as wires, cables, brushes, and etched copper for EDM.
