Product introduction
Drum chipper is a special equipment for preparing various kinds of high-quality wood chips, which is used in the production and export base of wood chips in paper mills, particle board mills, and fiberboard mills.
It can cut logs, small-diameter wood, etc. into high-quality industrial wood chips with uniform length, flat cut, and even thickness, and can also cut branch wood, lumber, etc.
 

 

The machine has an advanced structure, high-quality cutting chips, wide adaptability of raw materials, and easy operation and maintenance, the machine consists of a machine base, knife roller, upper and lower feeding roller, conveyor belt, hydraulic system, and other parts. The machine base is made of welded steel plate with a high cavity degree, which is the supporting base of the whole machine; two flying knives are installed on the knife roller, and the flying knives are fixed on the knife roller by the specially-made flying knife bolts through the pressure block; according to the different thickness of the raw materials to be cut, the upper feeding roller assembly can float up and down within a certain range with the help of hydraulic system; the suitable sheet material cut down falls down through the mesh sieve hole and has the bottom row, and the large sheet material will be cut again in the machine. The machine will be cut again. The oil supply from the hand oil pump to the oil cylinder can start the cover shell, which is easy to replace the blade, and the upper feeding roller assembly can be lifted during maintenance, which is easy to adjust the clearance of the flying knife and bottom knife and the disassembly of the comb plate.
 

 

Working principle
The wood is fed from the inlet, and when the wood is in contact with the cutting blade, it will be cut by following the high-speed rotation of the cutting disc. The cutting mechanism is a rotating drum wheel with several flying knives installed on it, and the wood will be processed into wood chips when the flying knives rotate. There are several square through-holes on the outer edge of the drum wheel, and the qualified pieces of material cut downfall through the mesh sieve holes and have bottom discharge, and the large pieces of fabric will be cut again in the machine.
 

Structure composition
The drum chipper is composed of a body, knife roller, upper and lower feeding mechanism, hydraulic system, feeding device, and other parts.

1. Machine body: welded with high-strength steel plate, which is the supporting base of the whole machine.

2. Knife roller: two or three or four flying knives are installed on the knife stick, and the flying knives are fixed on the knife roller by the pressure block with specially-made flying knife bolts.

3. Hydraulic system: supplied by oil pump to oil cylinder, can start the cover, easy to replace the blade; in maintenance can lift the upper feeding roller assembly, easy to adjust the clearance of the flying knife, bottom knife, and comb plate disassembly.

4. Upper and lower feeding mechanism: It is composed of a feeding interface, upper and lower feeding rollers, and a feeding gap adjustment mechanism. The wood entering from the feeding interface is pressed by the upper and lower feeding rollers and fed to the cutting mechanism at a certain speed to control the size of cutting wood pieces; when processing thick wood, the gap adjustment mechanism is adjusted by the feeding gap adjustment mechanism



What kind of raw material can be crushed?
such as all kinds of small-diameter wood, board veneer, slats, round wood core, construction templates, etc., and all kinds of non-wood raw materials such as all kinds of bulk straw, cotton firewood, reeds, etc., with a wide range of application. Also can process wood with nails, wooden pallets, construction site waste templates, wooden pallets, tree stumps, waste furniture, branches, wood, template waste, house demolition waste, doors, and windows, etc. 
The raw materials of large industrial wood chippers can be pulpwood, waste wood, waste wood building templates and residual wood from agriculture, landscaping, logging, and sawmills, wood pallets, corners, old furniture. 
Wood chips can also be produced from remaining forestry materials including tree crowns, branches, unsaleable materials or undersized trees, sugarcane, reed, bamboo, branches, boards, slats, and bamboo. etc.
