Epiandrosterone is a dehydroepiandrosterone metabolite and a precursor of testo sterone and estradiol with hypolipidemic and anabolic property, also commonly known as Epi-Andro or 3β-andro sterone.It is naturally produced by the enzyme 5α-reductase from the adrenal hormone DHEA', and can also be converted from the natural steroids androst anediol via 17β-hydroxysteroid dehydro genase or from androst anedione via 3β-hydroxysteroid dehydro genase.
